Scandinavian-inspired Cafe and Coffee Shop
A little bit of Scandi in Suffolk

Minimalistic calm, hedonistic hygge, and fika feels with the most delicious Scandinavian food and speciality coffee is what we bring to this peaceful part of town.
We do simple well from our delicious, authentic Nordic-style cuisine and calm, welcoming decor... we want you to discover this little bit of Scandi in Suffolk and to make it your somewhere special.

About Us
We opened our Scandinavian-style cafe in April 2021 in a beautiful old farm building just outside Ipswich in Suffolk. We're an independent, Scandinavian-inspired cafe and coffee shop. We bring delicious, seasonal, fresh food, speciality locally-roasted coffee and a little bit of Scandi to town!
When you step into the Milk Shed you’ll find Scandi-inspired breakfast and lunch, bakes, speciality coffee and a Scandi pantry of goodies for you to take home. From crispy and buttery Nordic waffles, smoked salmon and poached eggs, Smørrebrød (a traditional open sandwich), such as Skagenröra (prawn salad), Vasterbotten cheese and herrings. Our bake counter has both Nordic and British bakes from Danish Dream cake ‘Drømmekage’ and Cinnamon Buns ‘Kanelbullar’. Our menu changes to make the most of seasonal ingredients.
We celebrate Scandinavian traditions and celebrations such as 'Våffeldagen' Waffle Day, Cinnamon Bun Day and Midsummer and we'd love you to celebrate with us!
